Beth Franca

Beth Franca is an experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker registered with the Australian Association of Social Work and holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Psychology from the University of Western Australia.

Beth brings together clinical skills, wisdom of practice and an empathic and calming demeanour to her work with all her clients on their journey to making positive changes in their lives.

Beth has extensive clinical experience in working clients with trauma and complex and severe mental health disorders for over 17 years.

She works holistically with clients with a therapeutic tool kit of cognitive and body focused work, developed over many years of practice working with people from refugee backgrounds with complex trauma, grief and loss and somatic symptoms; and also 14 years of work with families, parents, children and adolescents with severe and complex mental health disorders in the government system in Australia. She has worked with clients experiencing complex trauma, family and domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse and neglect, birth trauma, victims of narcissistic abuse, school-based traumas such as bullying, stigmatisation, veterans and other survivors of war and complex grief and loss.

Beth has experience of working with people across their lifespan, from children as young as 2 years of age to primary school aged children, adolescents, new parents, adults of diverse backgrounds and cultures and older adults experiencing end of life transitions. 

Beth works with clients where they need to begin their recovery process and holds clients always at the forefront of practice within their therapeutic journey. She is also able to adapt therapies to clients with neurodivergence effectively and has worked with clients of diverse backgrounds in culture, gender and sexual diversity throughout her career. Practicing with a focus on social justice and support systems are an important part of her therapeutic work with clients.
