Sally is registered as an Australian Mental Health Social Worker and accredited EMDRAA EMDR consultant with over 20yrs experience working in the UK and WA to help facilitate positive behaviour change with clients who have mental health problems. She is passionate about providing EMDR, an evidence-based trauma treatment alternative to talking therapy.

Sally works with adults who are either directly or indirectly impacted by trauma events. She fosters a collaborative working relationship with clients to work with them at their own pace establishing the most effective course of treatment and recovery from their mental health problems. Sally takes a strengths-based approach acknowledging how clients have coped thus far and integrates working with both body and mind to facilitate clients being able to manage their emotions, achieve distancing and desensitization to their traumas and have a more fulfilled life.

She currently divides her time working at the Pax Centre, her own private practice and Phoenix Support and Advocacy Service a non-for-profit organisation specialising in counselling for survivors of child sexual abuse.

Sally has competed a range of professional training that complements EMDR and underpins her systemic perspective of working with clients. These include:

  • Attachment informed EMDR.

  • Working with Dissociation, Inner parts, Shame and Vulnerability.

  • Re-scripting.

  • Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR).

  • Neurodiversity affirming EMDR.
